particle size analysis: measurement of the size of a particle carried out according to a specified procedure and measuring method
particle size distribution: cumulative or differential number of particles as a function of particle size
passive component: component which does not set the fluid in motion and is not actuated by the fluid, for example connector, tube, tank, etc.
